The short version

We collect as little as possible: your email address if you join our list (via Kit), anonymous analytics about how the site is used, and standard affiliate-link click data. We don’t sell your data, we don’t buy data about you, and we don’t track you across the internet.

Information we collect

Email list

If you subscribe to fitness gear alerts, we collect your email address through our email provider, Kit (operated by ConvertKit). Kit stores your address, subscription date, and which form you signed up through. We use double opt-in, so nobody gets added without confirming. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time via contact.

Analytics

We use analytics (Meta Pixel and/or Google Analytics, once configured) to understand which pages people visit and which guides are useful. This data is aggregated and anonymized — we don’t build profiles of individual visitors.

Affiliate links

When you click a product link, the retailer (e.g., Amazon or a manufacturer) may set cookies to attribute any resulting purchase to us. That tracking is governed by the retailer’s own privacy policy, not ours.

Contact messages

If you email us, we keep your message and address long enough to respond. We don’t add you to any list because you wrote to us.

How we use information

To send the email alerts you signed up for — and nothing else.
To understand which content is useful so we can make more of it.
To respond to your questions.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies: affiliate attribution cookies set by retailers when you click product links, and analytics cookies if analytics is enabled. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though affiliate attribution may not.

Data retention and your rights

We keep email subscribers’ addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. If you’d like a copy of the data we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, contact us and we’ll handle it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the effective date above and note the change here. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
